Patient, observant, loving adults are needed to continue the ongoing tradition of quality education for young children. The school has 3 locations (Deerfield, Riverwoods, and Glenview/Northfield), all in the northern suburbs of Chicago offering half-day, school day, and full day Montessori programs.
Founded in 1966, the first school, Deerfield Montessori School was established as a not-for-profit corporation in response to the needs of the community. It is a private, nonsectarian school which has been nationally accredited by the American Montessori Society. In fact, our schools are among only a select few nationally-accredited Montessori schools in Illinois. The Riverwoods Montessori School was founded in 1986. It was followed by the Glenview Montessori School. These schools together are known as the North Shore Montessori Schools and are professionally managed by the same team. Each school is staffed with Montessori trained teachers certified by the American Montessori Society and/or the Association Montessori Internationale. In securing the services of professional and volunteer personnel, the Board strives to secure the person most qualified for the position.
The North Shore Montessori Schools (Deerfield Montessori School, Glenview Montessori School and Riverwoods Montessori School) are proud of its diversity and admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the schools. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, scholarship and loan programs and athletic and other school-administered programs.
